THE END OF 2014

As the end of 2014 nears, let us reflect on what we have done to create comfort and happiness within those we have touched.

Some of us have become a mentor to another.
Some of us have found our calling.
Some of us have even gone so far as to pay it forward.
Some of us have protested.
Some of us have rioted.
Some of us have found the wrong way.
Some of us have found the right way.
Some of us have found a new life with another person.
Some of us have found a new purpose.
Some of us have found a new religion.
Some of us have completely changed our way.

Whatever you have done, let it be for the good of humanity, our world and all of the people and animals on the planet.

Remember, goodness and goodwill starts with us.  Spread this and you will start a movement.

Happy New Year.

Holiday Wishes

This is something I believe strongly about.  Will you help?

Holidays

Well, the Thanksgiving and "Black Friday" havoc is over.  Finally.  Can you believe that Christmas will soon be here?   And then the New Year celebration.
Speak of Christmas, I don't always identify with all of the religious holidays around the world but I want to say that my thoughts and prayers are with all of our readers no matter what country you are in and no matter your religion.  May the end of 2014 and the beginning of 2015 bring safety, health and peace to all.

While reading this, please give thought to everyone who has less and please make it a point to give of yourself instead of take for yourself.  This has been a trying year for everyone and we can only hope that the year coming up will bring more prosperity to those who deserve to have better in their lives.  Perhaps those who have the majority of wealth will find it in themselves to share some of it with those most in need.

So much for this rambling.   Remember,  we can only give what we are willing to give and we can only receive what is freely presented to us.

Talk again soon,

Bob

NEW CHANCE FOR MONEY

Not long ago we were advised that there is scholarship money ($500.00) for ag and vet med students.  This money is available at:   http://www.joehoyfund.org   I understand it is really not hard to qualify for this.  Problem is there are only a few scholarships available.
Again, http://www.joehoyfund.org.

READ THIS AND LEARN

Most of the pets that come to Helping Strays need very basic medical care. Spay or neuter, vaccines and parasite screening and prevention are generally all that is required. Sometimes, though, a pet arrives injured or ill. Many medical problems are treatable and the pet, once healed, can live a normal, full and happy life. Sometimes the injuries and medical conditions are extensive and very costly to treat. Orphaned puppies and kittens also need extra help,The Pet-In-Need Fund is used exclusively for expenses involved in treating the injured, ill, abused and orphaned animals who make their way to Helping Strays. The Pet-In-Need Fund allows us to take in these animals and provide the treatment they so desperately need.
Ranging from burns and broken bones, through heartworm treatment and eye surgery, Pet-In-Need gets cats and dogs with treatable problems on the road to health and a permanent, loving home. Often, several animals will be enrolled in PIN simultaneously. In 2013, 13 pets were helped by the Pet-In-Need Fund. We have already surpassed that in 2014.
If you knew what these poor dogs and cats go through it would break your heart. Please hel... http://t.co/PXYtoQ1oCN

CONTRIBUTORS

I would like to take this opportunity to invite any authors from around the world to give some thought to contributing to our publication.  You have the chance to make a difference.

FRUSTRATION

Today I am feeling a little frustrated because we don't seem to be adding any new Contributors or Articles. Again, I invite those of you who have something to share on our publication to contact us.  I am glad to provide a "Landing Page", a "Library" for your articles and a direct link to your blog or website.  Just contact us and let us know.
Information to everyone is the best thing that can happen for our feathered friends.  Be they Companion, Rescue or Wild, education is the only way we can help them.
Please don't be afraid of allowing your knowledge to be given to others.  All of us have something to learn and it is the responsibility of all of us to share information for the betterment of the Avian World.
Thank you for listening to my rant..

HAPPY NEW YEAR

This New Year brings us the opportunity to begin a new journey. Not only have we started to follow a new path but the fork in the road ahead will also bring many new challenges. The direction we choose to take is only questioned by our asking ourselves if what lies ahead is going to bring peace to the world in which we live.
May all of my family and friends and everyone else around the world live in peace and happiness and prosperity by taking the right direction at the fork in the road.
Happy New Year and may God Bless all of us.
