T A S C

Well, what a great turnout and huge success at the TASC expo.  This was probably the most informative of them all considering who was there.  If you wanted to just shop for supplies, food or cages for your feathered friend this was the chance to get it.   Dr. Sakas, DVM and Dr. Ness, DVM were there to help with avian health questions.  Jason Crean and Patricia Sund were there for nutritional seminars, Lara Joseph gave a great talk on training.  Other speakers also were in attendance to give all of us more understanding of what to do to keep our companion birds well, healthy and happy.

Now, if you are looking for one of the biggest events in the U.S., then you may be interested in the AFA convention in Chicago, Illinois.  Here is what we have for now.  Just click on either picture for more information about The American Federation of Aviculture, Inc.

SOMETHING NEW

Something new is here.  I am working on a site - EXOTICS OF THE WORLD - A place to go for sharing and learning.  Information will be added as we receive it by those writers around the world who would like to contribute.  Family Friendly is the main criteria.  Anyone who is wanting to share information about exotic animals whether walking, slithering, swimming, or flying, is invited.  If you know of anyone, spread the world.  The website will be www.exoticsoftheworld.com  The site is live, but far from finished.  Content must be added and links created.  This is very time consuming, but this on going and ever growing project will never be complete.  Comments and suggestions are invited using this email:   companionbirdworld@gmail.com  This is a temporary email as the one for the new site is not set up.  The two sites will have some similarities, as they are meant to compliment each other.  Help make this project a success.  Be a part of something great for the world of exotics from the human viewpoint.
Till next time,
Bye.

BIRD TIME

Well, I think I would like to share some bird healthy information with everyone.  Diet seems to be top on our list of concern for our companion feathered friends.  All I can say is read what these people have to say.  They seem to know what they are talking about.  After all, they have the credentials and experience.

THE END OF 2014

As the end of 2014 nears, let us reflect on what we have done to create comfort and happiness within those we have touched.

Some of us have become a mentor to another.
Some of us have found our calling.
Some of us have even gone so far as to pay it forward.
Some of us have protested.
Some of us have rioted.
Some of us have found the wrong way.
Some of us have found the right way.
Some of us have found a new life with another person.
Some of us have found a new purpose.
Some of us have found a new religion.
Some of us have completely changed our way.

Whatever you have done, let it be for the good of humanity, our world and all of the people and animals on the planet.

Remember, goodness and goodwill starts with us.  Spread this and you will start a movement.

Happy New Year.
